CSV processing
The current version reads and modifies CSV contents with JavaScript running in your browser. It does not send the contents of your CSV to an application server, and it does not store your product catalog.
Product-validation events and optional import reports
VariantSafe may record limited event names such as sample used, CSV selected, analysis completed, and cleaned CSV downloaded. Event records use coarse ranges and do not include CSV contents, product data, filenames, SKUs, or exact row contents.
After downloading a cleaned file, you can voluntarily submit the real Shopify result. An import report can include the selected outcome, validation summary counts, the Shopify error message and note you type, an optional reply email, and timestamps. It never includes the CSV, filename, product rows, or catalog contents. Do not paste customer data or CSV rows into the text fields.
A random session identifier can be stored in your browser session storage so funnel steps from the same tab can be counted together. It is not an account and normally disappears when the browser session ends.
CSV Rescue quote requests
If you request a CSV Rescue quote, VariantSafe stores the email address, problem category, approximate catalog size, urgency, notes, consent, request status, and timestamps you submit. The quote form does not upload your CSV. If you later choose to share a file by email or another agreed method, that separate transfer is handled only for the requested service.
Beta waitlist
If you voluntarily join the VariantSafe Pro beta list, the site sends and stores the email address and workflow answers you submit. This information is used only to evaluate and contact people about the VariantSafe beta. Joining the list does not create a paid subscription.
Accounts and cookies
The current version does not provide user accounts and does not set application cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics may measure aggregate page visits and performance without using application cookies.
Standard hosting data
The hosting provider may process standard technical request information needed to deliver the website, such as an IP address, browser information, requested URL, and timestamps, according to the provider's own policies.
Third-party services
Cloudflare provides hosting, Web Analytics, Pages Functions, and the database used for validation events, voluntary import reports, quote requests, and beta signups. The tool does not use third-party scripts to process CSV contents. External websites you visit separately are governed by their own privacy policies.
Data choices
You can use the CSV checker without submitting an import report, quote request, or beta signup. To request removal of information linked to an email address, reply to a VariantSafe message sent to that address.
Changes
This notice will be updated before adding accounts, direct server-side CSV uploads, automated payments, or materially different data collection.
